About The Position

Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth is seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist / Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech to join their team. This full-time position involves working day shifts with a 4x10 hour schedule. The role requires on-call responsibilities, including a 30-minute response time for STEMI calls, necessitating living within 30 minutes of the hospital. The experienced and compassionate team cares for patients with Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular, or Electrophysiology related diseases, as well as performing Interventional Radiology procedures like vascular access, biliary and urinary interventions, and venous and arterial thrombectomy. The facility is Magnet designated and holds multiple certifications, including chest pain, heart failure, and stroke.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years’ work experience in invasive cardiology required
  • Completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
  • RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required
  • RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Within ninety (90) days of hire) required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Applied Science preferred.
  • One (1) experience as radiologic technologist preferred
  • 1 Year Exp as cardiovascular invasive specialist preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ experience required in lieu of degree with high school diploma
  • Two (2) years Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
  • GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred
  • LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred
