About The Position

Performs invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The role requires the ability to perform all duties of a Cardiac Technologist and to support the growth and development needs of diverse patient populations, from children to geriatric patients. The position involves expert-level cardiovascular technology knowledge, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management, as well as understanding special protocols for conscious sedation.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management.
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care.
• Depending on location, RCIS certification within 12 months of hire is required.
• Depending on location, ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• RCIS certification within 12 months of hire is preferred where not required based on location.
• ACLS certification is preferred where not required based on location.
• PALS certification is preferred if applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Use imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
• Perform all duties of a Cardiac Technologist.
• Support the growth and development needs of patient populations ranging from children to geriatric patients.
• Use effective cardiac communication skills and apply change-process and conflict-resolution practices.
• Apply knowledge of pharmacologic options for patient treatment and special protocols for conscious sedation.
