About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to perform invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as electrophysiology procedures. The role uses sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The successful candidate performs the duties of a Cardiac Technologist and applies knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, emergent and routine cardiac care, pharmacologic treatment options, and conscious sedation protocols. The position involves adapting care to the growth and development needs of client populations ranging from children to older adults, as applicable.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management.
Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care.
Depending on location, RCIS certification is required within 12 months of hire.
Depending on location, ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

RCIS certification within 12 months of hire is preferred where it is not required.
ACLS is preferred where it is not required.
PALS is preferred if applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

Perform invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as electrophysiology procedures.
Use imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
Perform the duties of a Cardiac Technologist.
Apply appropriate cardiac care, pharmacologic options, and conscious sedation protocols.
Adapt care to the growth and development needs of diverse client populations, including children through geriatrics.
