About The Position
Assists physicians during invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. The role requires thorough knowledge of Cath Lab and electrophysiology equipment, including its maintenance, and provision of direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RCIS program, or a recognized, accredited school of nursing, or an accredited respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology program.
- No experience is required for graduates of an RCIS program; otherwise, one year of healthcare imaging, exercise physiology, paramedic, respiratory, or RN experience is required.
- Applicable license based on healthcare experience, required upon hire.
- For RCIS program graduates, no license is required, but RCIS certification must be obtained within two years.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support), required upon hire.
- ACLS, required upon hire.
