About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Cath Lab Special Procedures Tech for a travel/contract position in Scottsbluff, NE. This role involves conducting IR procedures, Cath lab, and special procedures, collaborating with the physician team to provide safe patient care. Responsibilities include assisting with patient identification, preparation, and room setup, as well as selecting and preparing equipment according to physician orders and protocols. The tech will also be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Cath Lab Tech or Special Procedures Tech experience: 2 years
- Interventional Radiology experience: 2 years
- ARRT Cert
- BLS Certification from AHA
- ACLS Certification from AHA

- Prior Travel Nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Conducts IR procedures, Cath lab and special procedures.
- Collaborates with physician team to provide safe patient care.
- Assists with identification, preparation and draping of patients, and room preparation for routine procedures.
- Reads physicians’ orders/protocols and if necessary, communicates with physicians on protocols for routine procedures, and selects equipment in accord with the protocols and regulatory, statutory and Parkland standards to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Maintains and calibrates equipment, instituting and recording all preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and reporting or seeking repair to maintain equipment operability.
- Conducts maintenance on special procedures equipment and calibrates such equipment prior to each procedure, instructing technologists in the operation of special procedures equipment as needed to ensure quality care for patients.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact cardiovascular technology and the cardiac labs area.
- Revises procedures for repeated use of special procedures equipment and develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state and private health plans.
- Seeks advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding.
