About The Position

Cath Lab / IR Technologist Position Overview: This is a Full Time position in the Cath Lab department, located in Mesquite, Tx. The role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab, including scrubbing and monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data. The technologist will also be responsible for preparing the procedure room, managing inventory of instruments and supplies, and participating in departmental activities such as staff meetings, performance improvement, and training. Requirements

ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
Previous one year of experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; required.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
