About The Position

Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Fort Worth is seeking a Cath and EP Lab Nurse Manager to lead their Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs. This full-time, day shift position reports to the Director of Nursing, Cardiovascular Services. The Heart Hospital – Fort Worth operates five cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, with a sixth lab in planning. The labs support approximately 2,600 cath and 1000 EP procedures annually across interventional cardiology, complex EP, structural heart, and vascular services. The program holds ACC Electrophysiology Accreditation and is pursuing The Joint Commission Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification with BSW All Saints Medical Center. Program highlights include full service cardiac catheterization and EP labs, pulsed field ablation with Farapulse, Varipulse, and Affera platforms, structural heart including TriClip, TAVR, MitraClip, and left atrial appendage closure, renal denervation, and an active clinical research infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current Texas RN license or compact state license
  • Minimum 5 years RN experience with at least 2 years in a Cath Lab, EP Lab, or Interventional Radiology setting
  • Minimum 2 years of formal leadership experience (supervisor, or manager)
  • BLS and ACLS required at hire
  • A minimum of (2) two years of leadership experience in a supervisor or higher capacity in ICU or procedural role is required for consideration
  • Required certifications: (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (RN) Registered Nurse license, (BLS) Basic Life Support. If not BLS certified, it must be completed within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or business
  • Nurse leadership certification (NE-BC or NEA-BC) or clinical certification (CV-BC, CCRN, RCIS, or RCES)
  • Experience with NCDR registries, ACC accreditation, or TJC cardiac certification
  • Experience managing budgets, productivity, and capital planning in a procedural setting
  • Preferred additional experience working in Cath and/or EP lab.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Cath Lab and EP Team
  • Provide after-hours escalation coverage for the labs.
