About The Position

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Catering Servers to provide guests with excellent food and drink service, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude, at George School, a boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 in Newtown, PA. This role requires availability for on-call shifts, including nights and weekends for special events. The pay rate is $20 per hour.

Requirements

Must be able to pass an FBI background check.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties.
Ability to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to handle high-volume customers.
Reliable Transportation.

Nice To Haves

Food Service/Serving experience (1-2 years preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Set up tables, linens, chairs, and serving stations for full-service banquet events.
Maintain a clean and organized dining area to facilitate workflows and minimize safety hazards.
Greet and welcome guests, and respond to specific requests in a courteous manner.
Serve beverages and foods in the designated order and quickly remove dishes at the end of each course, meal, or function; replenish beverages and check with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Collect used dishes and utensils from tables and return them to the dishwashing area.
Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Reset the banquet as specified by Management to ensure readiness for other functions.
