We are seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive revenue by securing and coordinating meetings, banquets, social events, and corporate functions. This role is responsible for developing client relationships, managing the sales process from prospecting through event execution, and collaborating closely with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of catering sales, event sales, or hospitality sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, and food & beverage services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with sales and event management systems, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools.
  • Professional presentation and customer-focused mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel catering or banquet sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect, solicit, and secure catering business including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events.
  • Respond to client inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to close catering and banquet sales.
  • Coordinate event details with clients including menus, room setup, timelines, and audiovisual requirements.
  • Partner with the Sales, Culinary, and Banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct site tours and client meetings to showcase event spaces and services.
  • Manage event orders and ensure accurate communication of all details to operational departments.
  • Monitor event revenue and contribute to achieving departmental sales goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, and community organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, service procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in sales meetings, forecasting, and reporting on catering revenue performance.
