Four Seasons Hotel Boston, located in the historic Back Bay, is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to join its dynamic Marketing & Sales team. This role is an integral part of Hotel management, responsible for achieving assigned catering/banquet goals and contributing to the hotel's overall performance. The manager will negotiate event business through B2B channels, develop effective sales strategies, cultivate business leadership for additional sales and new customers, and actively solicit new business while responding to inquiries to confirm profitable catering business with diverse clients. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly creative, capable of multitasking, and able to make decisions in a fast-paced, client-driven environment. Requirements

• A four-year college degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related degree or equivalent experience is required
• Two or more years of sales related experience is preferred
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• High level of creativity
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment

Responsibilities

• Attainment of assigned catering/banquet goals that contribute to the overall performance of the hotel
• Negotiating event business through B2B channels
• Developing effective sales strategies to counter the competition
• Developing valuable business leadership that results in additional sales and new customers
• Actively soliciting new business and responding to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business with a wide range of clients
