About The Position

Catering Sales Coordinator Entry level support role to the Catering and Planning department including but not limited to responsibilities outlined below: Have a working knowledge of all programs and platforms used within the department Oversee and distribute daily updates and weekly planning documents, including but not limited to event orders, diagrams, resumes, reports and sales packets Manage Deposit spreadsheet and communicate to clients when deposits are due Work with accounting to manage invoicing with vendors Coordinate Amenities orders Oversee vendor relations including placing orders, assisting with invoices and collecting certificates of insurance Work with Catering Director for updated menus and marketing materials Maintain knowledge of selling and planning events including an understanding of all wedding information, packages and minimums, catering menus, event space, meeting set-ups and capacities Sell and plan small meetings and social events Manage room block only groups Greet Group Clients when necessary, acting as liaison as needed Handle site tours when a manager is not available Assist managers with on-site coordination of events (providing direction, assist with set-up of miscellaneous items, etc) Support managers with the detailing of events as requested (entrée cards, rentals, etc) Additional tasks and duties may be added or moved by the Director as needed. This is a great starting role to grow into a Sales and or Planning role in the Catering and Events field.
