About The Position
The Catering Operations Lead oversees the execution of catering events from Banquet Event Order (BEO) through completion. This hourly role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
Requirements
- Catering, hospitality, or event operations experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret BEOs and manage event logistics.
- Detail-oriented with experience handling event documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event-related systems.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute catering events according to BEOs.
- Schedule and direct event staff.
- Prepare menus and event materials.
- Communicate event details and expectations to staff.
- Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown.
- Ensure service standards, documentation, and operational procedures are followed.
- Monitor event operations and adjust staffing as needed.
- Partner with the Catering Sales Manager and other departments to ensure successful events.
