About The Position

Buehler's Fresh Foods is seeking a Salaried Catering Manager for their Wooster Milltown operations. This role involves direct leadership of the Catering Team and serves as a key member of the Food Service Leadership team. The Catering Manager is accountable for the department's profitability, establishing and maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and developing/delivering offerings that impress customers. This position requires cooperative work with the Catering Director, Food Service Manager, and the broader Food Service Team.

Requirements

Prior 2-5 years’ catering experience preferably in managing the operation as a lead or assistant manager.
Must be available to work 45+ hours per week, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Organizing custom orders and full-service events through effective communications, record keeping, checklists, and follow-through.
Aligning staffing with an emphasis on recruitment and retention to meet Catering’s operational needs while making best use of Catering labor.
Working with local rental companies, entertainment services, photographers, and event venues.
Planning ahead for seasonal changes, holidays, special events, and promotions, with particular emphasis on organization and making the most of each opportunity.
Proactively defining and resolving both employee and customer issues; communicating well with Store associates, customers, subordinates, and others.
Performing related duties as required or assigned.
