About The Position
Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is looking for a Catering Manager to join the Sales and Events Team. This luxurious oceanfront retreat offers a world of style, service and connection with globally inspired architecture and design. The hotel has 290 rooms with an expansive pool terrace with private cabanas, a 6th floor fitness center, a tranquil boutique Spa, over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 5 food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, pool side grill, cocktail lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding our presence within the local catering market. This is a true sales-focused role, centered on identifying, cultivating, and securing new corporate and social event opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of prospecting, networking, and driving revenue within the catering, hospitality, or events industry. Experience selling weddings, social events, corporate functions, and large-scale programs is highly desirable. Requirements
- Proven track record of prospecting, networking, and driving revenue within the catering, hospitality, or events industry.
- Experience selling weddings, social events, corporate functions, and large-scale programs is highly desirable.
- Hilton experience as well as luxury hospitality experience will be especially successful.
Responsibilities
- Grow catering market segments: Solicit new client relationships, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts to close new business
- Cultivate client relationships: Maintain strong connections with existing corporate and social accounts to secure repeat business
- Create exceptional experiences: Design creative menus and catered events that maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
- Oversee event coordination: Manage event documentation, facilitate seamless transitions throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure smooth execution, proactive issue resolution, and an exceptional event experience
- Guide team performance: Communicate client requirements, provide direction, and offer feedback and coaching to ensure consistent, high-level service
