About The Position

Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club is seeking a Catering Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for organizing and coordinating the many and varied details relating to the successful servicing of group meetings and special event functions at The Lodge & Club. Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, with a preferred major in related field, i.e., Hotel Management, Business or Marketing or 2 years prior experience in Conference & Catering.
  • Prior experience in conference and catering coordination.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Must have a working knowledge of service agreements, banquet event orders, hotel/resort operations and procedures.
  • Must meet Gate Hospitality dress code and personal grooming standards.

  • Experience in a high-volume upscale membership club or luxury resort a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Special Events & Catering Sales Director and Catering Department by building accounts in Springer Miller, iVvy/Delphi and Canary, with any necessary notes and trace (i.e.cut off dates/deposits/signed documents).
  • Create files, manage the contract turnover process and deposit schedules for Lodge catering events.
  • Effectively communicate and distribute Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, Daily Activities, Change Logs, and VIP Amenity Requests to all applicable departments.
  • Serve as day of event support for occasional large-scale social events and weddings, specifically assisting the Wedding & Special Events Manager during vendor load-in and set up, transitioning guests to/from each event, and overseeing the time-line and details are executed correctly on behalf of EFFYC.
  • Support General Manager by building in-house meeting holds; detail Banquet Event Orders in iVvy/Delphi and distribute internally.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all required Gate orientation, training and safety courses; attend BEO meeting and internal departmental meetings as needed.
  • Comply at all times with Gate Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
  • Perform any other duties requested or required by Catering Department.
