About The Position

The Catering Attendant Server is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage event day service to Arena guests, while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age
  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
  • Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handlers Card
  • TIPS Certified
  • Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamwork
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact with all levels of customers and staff including management
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.

  • Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 25 lbs. Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, on call in addition to normal business hours. Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later.
  • Must be able to pass the background.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all catering equipment
  • Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
  • Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each event
  • Fulfill the service per each Event Orders (EO), as well as Catering Service Standards
  • Must adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
  • Obtain assigned workstation at beginning of shift
  • Set up tables, top chairs and tables for catered events as assigned by the Catering Supervisor and Manager in a timely and efficient manner
  • Set all glassware silverware, dinnerware and additional set-up necessities in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all Catered areas have been left in a sanitary and organized manner
  • Serve all functions in a professional, courteous, efficient manner
  • Break down all Catering areas after event
  • Adheres to the utmost client confidentiality
  • Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct
  • Other duties as assigned
