About The Position

Join our vibrant team at Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, AZ, as a Catering Assistant! Your Mission: To execute in timely manner the catering functions for the residents, guests, local community and departments. To provide service support to Catering Coordinator for events in dining rooms and other venues as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to build professional rapport with other employees.
• Ability to remain calm and act professionally during high-pressure situations.
• Previous experience in developing and maintaining good relationships with seniors.
• An understanding and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Must have a current Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

• Catering, serving, and light cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the setup and breakdown of catering events.
• Provides service at catering events.
• Conducts a pre-meal service with the Dining Room staff that will be working the assigned events and instructs and directs the staff on setting up the room where the catering event will take place.
• Assists the dining room supervisors by hosting, pouring beverages, service guests, running food or bussing dining room tables as needed.
