About The Position

This role focuses on providing excellent customer service within a catering environment. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for setting up rooms according to specific instructions, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of banquet equipment, and assisting guests with their needs. The position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to keep work areas organized and report any equipment issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No directly related experience required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in customer service, following CARES standards and responding quickly and effectively to requests.
• Understand and meet customer needs and expectations.
• Effectively communicate relevant information, keeping leadership and schedulers informed of requests and changes.
• Post required schedules to ensure customers have information.
• Assist guests and function as the first line of problem resolution, referring complex issues to management.
• Read and interpret function set up sheets to set up rooms accordingly.
• Set up banquet equipment, ensuring its cleanliness and maintenance.
• Keep work environment and equipment organized and in good condition.
• Report broken equipment or lights to management.
