About The Position

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Catering Assistant in Colorado Springs. The Catering Assistant will assist the management team with the operational tasks associated with all scheduled catering events, and at times when catering demand is low, will assist in cashing guests out in the cafeteria during breakfast or lunch service. This role will be expected to work professionally and cooperatively to ensure excellence in customer service, attractive food presentation, and support sustainability and fiscal responsibility in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience in food service or catering
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

Cash handling and/or retail experience a plus

Responsibilities

Execution of assigned catering events, to include setup and breakdown/cleanup.
Review scheduled catering events and works with the Catering Manager, Catering Supervisor, and Executive Chef to determine logistical needs, performs inventories and submits requests for products and equipment to be ordered and schedules appropriately.
Ensure all catering equipment is properly returned to their correct place after each event.
Communicate with the Catering Manager regarding any complaints, problems, or compliments from customers or staff.
Report any maintenance or equipment needs to Catering Manager or Executive Chef.
Restock dining areas and cashier stations as appropriate.
Assist guests in purchasing their meals at the cash register.
