About The Position

The Catering and Conference Services Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support across departments to assist with the production of memorable corporate and social/wedding events at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail with written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Daily responsibilities include prompt response to catering sales inquiries, assistance with group activities and amenities, custom menus for tastings and group events, and preparation of site visit planning materials. The position will oversee internal event details and department reporting including distribution of Daily Events, Banquet Event Orders, and Group Resumes. This position requires proper phone etiquette and email correspondence to provide exceptional customer service with clients and vendors. The individual will be responsible to attend all assigned meetings and trainings, including special projects and onsite event support as required by Director. Requirements

  • One year in luxury hospitality or similar environment.
  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Perform math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.
  • Experience within a hotel/resort environment.
