About The Position

Coborn’s Inc. is hiring a Category Support Specialist to join our growing Merchandising team! As a Category Support Specialist, you will assist the category management team to optimize product assortments, pricing, promotions, inventory levels, communication, and contract maintenance. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail support, merchandising, or category management, preferably in the grocery industry.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, store-level execution, product and pricing systems, category management, and merchandising preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end item setup and maintenance, ensuring accuracy of descriptions, UPCs, pack sizes, costing, pricing, and attributes
  • Take accountability for timely and error-free product data by partnering closely with vendors and Category Managers
  • Proactively monitor system compliance and resolve data discrepancies with urgency and precision
  • Own promotional and pricing setup, ensuring all items, ad features, and price changes are executed accurately and on schedule
  • Validate promotional pricing and calendars to guarantee alignment with advertised plans and timelines
  • Drive alignment across store and marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of merchandising strategies
  • Act as the primary owner of vendor relationships for item data and promotions, ensuring clear communication and compliance
  • Manage vendor submissions and follow-ups, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete and accurate
  • Maintain ownership of reporting and dashboards, delivering timely, accurate insights on item status and promotional performance
  • Regularly audit and validate data, taking initiative to reduce discrepancies and improve overall data integrity
  • Own purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while resolving issues independently
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead or contribute to improvements that streamline workflows and strengthen compliance
