About The Position

Chewy is hiring a Category Specialist to provide operational support for our Category Management team at our headquarters in Plantation, FL. This role requires business fluency in Mandarin, both written and verbal, to interact with Mandarin-speaking business partners. The Category Specialist will support specific categories by managing vendor ticket resolution, promotions setup, new vendor & new SKU onboarding, and new assortment onboarding. This position is critical for delivering high-quality, thoughtful service to vendors, directly shaping vendor partner and customer experiences, and building the Chewy brand. A successful candidate will execute priorities in an organized fashion, meet service level agreements (SLAs), consistently deliver routine tasks supporting broader category strategies, and maintain vendor relationships through challenging situations. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to quickly absorb and apply learnings, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility, a solution-oriented approach, and a customer-oriented mindset are also essential.

Requirements

• Completion of a BS/BA degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
• 0-1+ years of experience with a preference in eCommerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, operations, analytics, finance or marketing
• Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills (Excel, SQL is a plus)
• Strong verbal and written communication, self-starter with a bias for action, attention to detail, solid time, data and organizational management skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve vendor tickets on a daily/weekly basis in line with our SLAs
• Communicate regularly in Mandarin with oversees vendors.
• Set up and execute promotions as per category manager direction
• Ensure new vendors / new SKUs are onboarded according to SLAs; troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary
• Work cross-functionally with supply chain, private label, finance, catalog and promotion teams
