About The Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Category Mgr for our OR (surgical, implant and devices) categories. Ideal applicants will have a background in sourcing and/or contract negotiation. Responsibilities

  • Negotiates, implements, evaluates and manages an assigned section of BJC Health System's portfolio of capital, pharmacy, supply, service, IT, marketing, HR, or finance contracts with moderate spend and complexity.
  • Develops strategies, with guidance and confirmation from Senior and Lead colleagues, for the efficient and cost effective sourcing of products and services to meet the organizational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of respective regional supply markets, competitors, and product innovations assisting with the company’s acquisition strategies for assigned categories.
  • Reviews and analyzes the market, technologies, trends, and purchase history to determine the potential impacts and improvements capable in the market place.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align on category strategy, supplier performance, demand planning, and product availability.
