About The Position
The Corporate Category Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing category, strategic sourcing, and contract management strategies that ensure the organization obtains the best total cost of ownership value when securing goods and/or services. This role is continuously seeking opportunities that drive continuous supply chain improvements and will be engaged in identifying the right suppliers to partner with that support the organization's development of a “best in class” supply chain. Reporting to the Head of Category Management, this role will work autonomously to identify and execute sourcing strategies that will support the organizational vision and strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and implementing category, strategic sourcing, and contract management strategies
- Ensuring the organization obtains the best total cost of ownership value when securing goods and/or services
- Seeking opportunities that drive continuous supply chain improvements
- Identifying the right suppliers to partner with that support our organizations development of a “best in class” supply chain
- Working autonomously to identify and execute sourcing strategies that will support the organizational vision and strategic direction
- Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct and Fight Against Corruption
- Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements
- Promptly acting on non-compliances and reporting them to the direct supervisor
- Adhering to the standard for tidiness and cleanness
- Maintaining good and clear communications with all involved parties
