Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Category Management, CPG, or related field
  • Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, Luminate)
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with space planning tools is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of shopper behavior and category management principles
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify marketplace trends and translate them into actionable category strategies
  • Develop and execute merchandising and modular strategies to support impulse growth
  • Partner with Walmart and internal stakeholders to bring category strategies to life
  • Analyze retailer, syndicated, and shopper data to generate insights and recommendations
  • Utilize tools such as Space Planning, Nielsen/Circana data, Tableau, and other analytics platforms
  • Lead and support execution of category initiatives including relays, fixture innovation, and merchandising enhancements
  • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring strong attention to detail and timelines
  • Serve as a category expert, influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance capabilities and continuously improve processes
  • Challenge the status quo and bring forward innovative ideas to drive business results
