Category Manager
About The Position
prosource.it is seeking a Category Manager to join a global, enterprise O&G client. This role focuses on operations support for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for assigned categories (rotating equipment and labor), ensuring reliable supply while evaluating cost and performance. The Category Manager will partner closely with PSCM, operations, engineering, and suppliers to address business needs, manage contracts, and ensure supplier rate compliance. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with procurement policies and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and supply chain risk mitigation. Success requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage operational demands alongside key objectives.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies
- Strong communication skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; and effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Supply chain experience
- Understanding of upstream oil & gas operations
- Ability to perform data analysis, evaluate commercial options, and understand contract terms and agreements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with OpenInvoice and the Enverus suite preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of price books and open contracts for assigned contractors
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of commercial updates in Monday.com and CLM
- Utilize Enverus suite, including OpenInvoice and RFx tools
- Support IFRS 16 monthly reporting as needed
- Monitor market conditions and cost drivers impacting the business
- Assist with and coordinate full lifecycle RFPs, including evaluations and follow-ups
- Draft agreements, including sub-agreements, change orders, and amendments across services and equipment categories
- Obtain proper DOFA approvals for contractual agreements
- Apply AI tools and technology solutions using validated data inputs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and PSCM stakeholders
- Vendor management and meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned
