This role identifies opportunities for business expansion in support of the customer sales strategy. It involves developing and maintaining business relationships by providing solutions for defined accounts in a product line, to achieve identified strategy and business financial objectives. The Category Manager will define and execute product and supplier strategy, develop relationships with suppliers, customers, and the Avnet sales team to identify growth opportunities. Responsibilities also include analyzing data from multiple sources to ensure products are profiled at competitive prices to drive market share gains and increased revenue/profitability. The individual will be a market/technology expert for assigned categories and will work jointly with the Avnet standard products asset team to execute product investments.
