For more information, visit www.redaptive.com Position Summary: Redaptive is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager, HVAC/Mechanical to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with a variety of suppliers and service providers to ensure cost savings, while achieving the highest quality, and timely delivery for Redaptive. Additionally, you will use your excellent communication skills, project management experience, and industry knowledge to effectively build a supply portfolio in the HVAC/Mechanical vertical. You will also partner with internal stakeholders to develop top-down strategy, drive efficiencies and positively influence company objectives.

Requirements

  • Build a deep understanding of Redaptive offerings and industry trends within your category.

  • BA or BS degree in a relevant concentration preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in commodity management/category management/supply chain management/ops.

Nice To Haves

  • CSCP (APICS) or CPSM (ISM) is a plus.
  • Experience with both commodity and service offerings is a plus.
  • Experience/exposure in any of the following: Lighting, HVAC, electrical, building engineering, building construction, metering, manufacturing, or other related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop category strategies for the HVAC/Mechanical manufacturing line.
  • Identify and develop a portfolio of qualified supply options. Including onboarding.
  • Lead negotiations with providers in the HVAC/Mechanical space
  • Develop and execute cost models – understand how significant cost drivers impact category strategy.
  • Manage supply base by establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics for your portfolio.
  • Drive year on year cost savings while mitigating company exposure.
  • Project Management – work cross functionally with internal stakeholders (Ops, Technical Solutions & Engineering, Product, Sales, Partner Management, Legal) to build alignment on both specific projects and category strategy.
  • Contract management – review and negotiate commercial terms – high familiarity with legal terms and conditions.
  • Understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology outlook.
