About The Position

This position plays a key role in executing our strategies with responsibility for sourcing parts and services in assigned categories, utilizing the global leverage of Terex ensuring that Terex globally and regionally achieves best value in cost, quality, reliability, service, and support. This role will also coordinate cross functional relationships, including product management, engineering, materials management, local purchasing, operations, and finance.

Requirements

  • University degree or combination of education, training and work experience, with focus on procurement, supply chain management and material cost excellence
  • Min. 5+ years’ work experience in manufacturing industry dealing with global supply base
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Experience in aftermarket parts sourcing a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and able to work with little guidance
  • Excellent project management skills and used to work in global, cross-functional teams
  • Proven supplier management and negotiation skills; able to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all involved parties
  • Technical savvy and able to read technical drawings, specifications and applications
  • Strong problem solving aptitude and excellent analytical skills plus high proficiency in MS Office products
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Italian, Spanish, German, French, Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance and cost optimization
  • Conduct RFIs, RFPs and RFQs. Analyze supplier responses and select suppliers that meets or exceeds Terex requirements
  • Negotiate preferred supplier agreement, and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship with suppliers in assigned categories, from total cost of ownership to delivery, quality, technology and operations excellence
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, product management, materials, operations, and customer service worldwide to develop and execute global supply and sourcing strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in the parts and service business in the area of responsibility
  • Travel to supplier sites as needed to evaluate supplier capabilities and investigate new opportunities.
