About The Position

Piping Rock Health Products is seeking a Category Manager to oversee the lifecycle of our products across our growing direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, and retail channels. The Category Manager uses consumer, shopper, and market data to develop assortment, pricing, shelving, and promotional strategies for retail partners across the Piping Rock Health Products portfolio. As a strategic partner to Sales and retail customers, this role provides actionable recommendations that drive overall category growth and strengthen the performance of Piping Rock brands. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker and communicator who can turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of category management, merchandising, or retail analytics experience, preferably within CPG, health and wellness, or eCommerce.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Vlookups, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to create clear, executive-ready presentations.
Extensive experience using syndicated data platforms, such as Circana/IRI or NielsenIQ, to evaluate category trends, consumer behavior, and competitive performance.
Strong retail and analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into actionable business recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to share insights across teams and with senior leadership.
Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Responsibilities

Manage category performance and product lifecycles, from new product development through discontinuation.
Analyze assortment, competitors, consumer insights, and sales trends to identify growth opportunities.
Drive new product launches in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Creative.
Maintain accurate product data and category hierarchies.
Manage vendor relationships, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
Partner with Marketing on email, promotions, SEM, SEO, and on-site search content.
Use category reviews and broker partnerships to support retail growth.
Forecast performance and present actionable recommendations.
Conduct advanced Excel analysis, including duplication and transferability assessments.
Work effectively across multiple systems and platforms.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
