About The Position
Removes and stacks trusses coming off the production line. Stacks trusses in bundles and bands them according to spans and lengths. This is a fast-paced environment that requires coordination and teamwork to complete truss packages for delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include removing bundled truss packages to carts or staging areas, moving and stacking trusses to safe working locations for forklift access, gathering small lumber pieces for designated areas, and moving carts from the component saw area to the lumber staging area. The role also involves working in conjunction with jig leads and production foremen to ensure efficient production levels and maintaining an organized and clean work area.
Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to count.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Removes bundled truss packages to carts or staging area.
- Moves and stacks trusses to be in safe working locations where forklifts have access to move.
- May gather small lumber pieces and save them in designated area for other uses.
- Moves carts from component saw area to lumber staging area.
- Works in conjunction with the jig leads and production foreman to ensure efficient production levels.
- Keeps area organized and clean.
