About The Position

The Assembler is an entry-level position that performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce trusses. The role involves placing parts in a specified relationship to each other, fastening them together with bolts, clips, screws, or cement. The assembler will also cut products to specific measurements, remove defective products, and tend machines for assembly operations. The position requires working at different workstations as production needs change and in an environment where tasks vary with different product models. Cleaning of equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures is also a responsibility. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to read tape measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior carpentry experience helpful.
