About The Position

Supervises and monitors the daily operations of claim processing of injured employees with catastrophic injuries in accordance with the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act, rules of the Division of Workers’ Compensation and internal procedures. Manages the personnel, equipment, facilities and finances of assigned operations. Ensures coordination and support of the overall goals and objectives of the division.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Texas workers' compensation or all lines adjuster's license
  • At least five years of experience in adjusting workers' compensation claims (Texas preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of prior supervision
  • Industry-related designation

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the daily operations of claim processing in accordance with the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, rules of the DWC, and internal procedures.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding claim handling and desired outcomes.
  • Recruit, retain, coach and mentor employees.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of division goals and objectives, policies, standards, procedures and budgets.
  • Administer compensation and medical benefits to injured employees with catastrophic injuries in accordance with the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, rules of the DWC, and internal procedures, as well as quality of their work.
  • Oversee a caseload of TIB, IIB, SIB, LIB, and death benefit claims.
  • Manage the personnel, equipment, facilities and finances of assigned operations.
  • Ensure coordination and support of the overall goals and objectives of the division.
