We are seeking a candidate to join our R&D (Research and Development) group, focusing on the development and creation of mapping solutions for risk assessment related to natural catastrophes and climate change impacts. As a Co-op within our Catastrophe R&D group, you’ll be working closely with senior scientists and engineers on various projects helping with tasks to perform data mining and in-depth reviews of research literature, data, and models. You will also collect, analyze and visualize data, using geospatial, statistical as well as other analytical methods. Additionally, you will develop and maintain interactive maps and spatial databases for natural disaster risk assessment (floods, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, etc.). This six-month co-op will challenge you with real-world projects and hands-on training, all while being mentored by leaders and experts in risk management R&D.
