About The Position

This remote position involves 70% field work and 30% virtual work, offering a dynamic blend of in-the-field action and virtual collaboration. As a Catastrophe Field Auto Adjuster, you will be a trusted representative, traveling nationwide to assist customers affected by catastrophic events such as floods, hurricanes, and wildfires. You will investigate damage, review policies, and settle moderately complex claims for various vehicles including cars, motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, and boats, helping customers move forward with care and confidence. This role follows a 10-day on and 4-day off schedule, with 12-hour workdays throughout the year.

Requirements

  • A passion for helping people and solving problems
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as CCC or Mitchell
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, including paintless dent repair
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
  • A minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5MB up is required for home-based employees

  • 2+ years of claims or auto damage experience

Responsibilities

  • Travel across the country to assess vehicle damage and support customers during times of crisis
  • Review policy coverage, investigate claims, and document your findings
  • Prepare or validate repair estimates using industry-leading tools
  • Negotiate and settle claims with empathy and efficiency
  • Capture detailed notes, decisions, and supporting documentation in the claims system
  • Balance your time between virtual assignments and in-person inspections (70% field, 30% virtual)
