The Cataloging Librarian leads the Library’s Technical Services functions and plays a critical role in ensuring materials move efficiently from selection and acquisition to discovery and use by the community. This position oversees acquisitions, cataloging, processing, bibliographic database quality, vendor coordination, and Technical Services workflows and procedures. As a member of the Library’s professional team, the Cataloging Librarian also provides reference and technology assistance at public service desks, participates in collection development and library-wide initiatives, and works collaboratively with staff and consortium partners.
