About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the Napa, CA area. This role offers flexibility, allowing sitters to set their own availability and service area. It's ideal for individuals who enjoy independent work, caring for cats, and providing peace of mind to pet parents. Sitters will build trust with repeat clients through consistent, quality care.

Requirements

Experienced with cat care, particularly in a pet sitting capacity.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Strong written communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in clients' homes.
Must have a smartphone with reliable internet and a camera.
Experience administering medication (oral, injections, fluids).
Availability on weekends and holidays.
Availability for morning, afternoon, and evening visits.

Clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.

Responsibilities

Perform cat sitting visits, including feeding cats and refreshing water.
Clean litter boxes.
Provide playtime, affection, or companionship tailored to each cat's personality.
Send visit updates and photos to clients via an app.
Follow detailed client care instructions.
Bring in mail or packages.
Adjust lights, blinds, or manage trash/recycling as requested.
Administer medication if within the sitter's experience and comfort level.
