Cat Sitter
About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking independent cat sitters (1099 independent contractors) for in-home visits in the San Antonio, TX Metro Area. This role offers complete job flexibility, allowing sitters to set their own availability and service area, with the company matching them to clients. Sitters will provide various in-home cat care services, including drop-ins, extended daytime visits, overnights, and live-in care. Responsibilities include following detailed care instructions, sending updates with notes and photos, and maintaining the cleanliness and respect of client homes.
Requirements
- 18+ with hands-on cat care experience
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Availability (especially holidays/travel periods)
Nice To Haves
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday & weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home cat care (drop-ins, overnights, or live-in — based on your availability)
- Follow detailed care instructions (feeding, litter cleaning, socialization, meds if applicable)
- Send updates with notes & photos after each visit
- Maintain cleanliness and respect client homes
