About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the Salt Lake City, UT Metro Area. This role offers flexibility, allowing sitters to set their own availability and service area. It's ideal for individuals who enjoy independent work, caring for cats, providing peace of mind to pet parents, and building relationships with repeat clients.
Requirements
- Experience with cat care, particularly in a pet-sitting capacity
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort working independently in clients' homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet and camera
- Experience administering medication (oral, injections, fluids)
- Availability on weekends, holidays, mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and refreshing water
- Cleaning litter boxes
- Providing playtime, affection, or companionship tailored to each cat's personality
- Sending visit updates and photos via an app
- Following client-specific care instructions
- Collecting mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or managing trash/recycling as requested
- Administering medication if within the sitter's experience and comfort level
