Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona, committed to serve residents in Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, Cochise County – a population of more than 131,000 people, and our surrounding communities. We’re comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson. Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a JC/CAHEA approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS
  • One (1) year recent experience in general radiography.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years CT experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of radiographic positioning, radiographic technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control and quality control techniques.
  • Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies, as needed.
  • Ensures that the patient examinations are performed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provides accurate patient positioning, computer entries, and filming.
  • Performs nuclear medicine scans according to protocols.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to the radiologist prescribed protocols.
  • Complies with hospital and imaging policy/procedures 100% of the time.
  • Provide services to all patients, families, and physicians serving the population.
