Great American's Corporate Claims Resolution Services (CRS) team receives a variety of claims from numerous Great American Insurance Company divisions involving property, general liability, professional liability, ocean marine, commercial auto, employer’s liability, aviation, and employment practices liability. In addition, CRS handles Great American’s legacy claims. The demand for CRS’ services currently exceeds the capacity of the senior management team. As such, CRS is creating a new senior management position to increase its capacity to take on new business and to help build with its succession planning talent pool. CRS is seeking an experienced Claims Director to lead and inspire a high-performing team of claims professionals, including claims managers. This leadership role offers significant autonomy and influence, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in complex, high-impact claims matters. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a proven ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment. Working collaboratively across the enterprise, the Claims Director will play a key role in maintaining relationships, developing talent, and fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and outstanding service. This position is responsible for the performance, coaching, and professional development of team members, ensuring they are equipped to achieve both individual and organizational success. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs. This position is based at Great American’s headquarters in Cincinnati.
