About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a part-time Forklift Operator at its Sauget, Illinois service center. The role involves safely moving various types of freight into and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long. Operators use a forklift on a roofed, non-climate-controlled dock. The listed hourly rate is $25.90. The preferred workdays are Friday, Saturday, and Monday, with third-shift schedules consisting of 8- to 10-hour shifts. PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience, including previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.
