About The Position

The Van Drunen Family of Companies is growing! This job is part of a casual labor pool that will be called into work on an as needed basis (work and number of hours worked are not guaranteed each week). We offer round-the-clock opportunities on multiple shifts with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available. Flexible hours and days up to 29 hours per week. Preferably looking for candidates who are available for 8-10 hour shifts on day(s) called into work; shorter shifts from 4 to 9 hours can also be accommodated. We are flexible to your schedule. Due to the nature of this job, you may be asked to report to work on short notice.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required, with paid training provided.
  • Ability to follow instructions, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn basic production, sanitation, and food safety practices.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and on a team.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks including reaching, climbing, and operating basic tools or equipment.
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures, including hot, cold, humid, or wet conditions.
  • Exposure to production equipment, noise, and required use of personal protective equipment.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor tasks to support food production, including cleaning, sanitizing, assembling, transporting, loading, and packaging materials and products.
  • Assist with equipment breakdown, setup, and sanitation between production runs using approved procedures and tools.
  • Support production teams by moving materials, loading equipment, and preparing products for processing and packaging.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following GMPs, reporting hazards, and participating in safety training.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete routine, hands-on tasks efficiently and accurately.
