Casual Emergency Medicine – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Western Region
About The Position
CentraCare’s Emergency Department is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver high-quality, direct patient care in its Western Region Emergency Departments in Long Prairie, Melrose, Paynesville, and Sauk Centre. The role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages in an acute care setting, using advanced assessment skills and following established protocols and regulatory standards. APPs practice with meaningful day-to-day clinical independence while collaborating closely with emergency physicians in a supportive, team-based environment. The position is onsite at CentraCare hospitals in Long Prairie, Melrose, Paynesville, and Sauk Centre. It is a casual role with varying shifts, days, hours, and locations, including shifts scheduled into weekend and holiday rotations. The hourly pay range is $67.89–$108.20. Pay may depend on education, experience, skills, knowledge, location, and internal equity. Additional pay may be available through bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation. CentraCare is a not-for-profit health system and a major provider of rural care, serving patients across Central, West Central, and Southwestern Minnesota. Its Long Prairie, Melrose, and Sauk Centre locations are Level IV trauma centers and critical access hospitals with family medicine clinics, advanced imaging, and comprehensive outpatient services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Eligibility for Minnesota licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a provider in an Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Walk-in Clinic.
