About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Casting Finishing Technician to support efficient, safe, and high‑quality production. This hands‑on role is critical to ensuring cast parts meet quality standards through precise finishing, inspection, and process consistency. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality‑focused, and thrives in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and regular attendance required
Responsibilities
- Cast parts while producing consistent results within established quality parameters
- Mix all casting materials according to supplier specifications
- Troubleshoot molds when quality or consistency issues arise
- Utilize finishing tools and techniques to ensure parts match master samples
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections prior to shipping
- Understand different finish levels and how to properly achieve them
- Accurately complete required documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
- Actively support the Five Star Plastics Quality Management System (QMS)
- Assist with training efforts and collaborate with team members
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
