About The Position

Hubbell is seeking Casters to work in our 1st Shift Casting- CC2 department. Casters will work in producing polymer concrete casted parts of various sizes by preparing and dressing molds, mixing material, filling and demold parts using overhead cranes. Casters start at $20.50 per hour. In addition, as a newly hired employee with Hubbell, you will be eligible to receive a $1000 retention bonus on the 90th day with Hubbell. Health care benefits start on the first of the month following your hire date. Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a group environment, and ask for help when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with company policies.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during work shift, and clearly communicate issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Heavy manufacturing or construction experience preferred
  • High school diploma preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Dress, fill, and demold polymer casted parts.
  • Operate overhead crane and various hand tools.
  • Work in an efficient manner toward departmental goals.
  • Keep area clean, follow good housekeeping practices.
  • Follow Company safety and break policies, follow directions, and wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Immediately report any unsafe activity or accident to area Supervisor.
