About The Position

Our client is a well-established gaming and hospitality organization operating a full-service casino property with 24/7 operations. The company is focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. The Casino Shift Manager will oversee all casino operations during their assigned shift, including slots, table games, and casino beverage services. This leadership role carries full accountability for the efficient and profitable operation of the casino floor, ensuring superior guest service, regulatory compliance, asset protection, and seamless coordination across departments in a fast-paced, high-volume gaming environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred; or 3–5 years of progressive experience in casino operations with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, internal controls, and casino operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams in a 24/7 high-volume environment.
  • Excellent guest service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must qualify for and maintain a Mississippi Gaming Work Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership and oversight of casino operations across slots, table games, and beverage departments during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest service are delivered to both internal and external guests at all times.
  • Protect the company’s assets and maintain the integrity of all gaming operations in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Observe and respond to irregularities, violations, or discrepancies involving casino personnel or guests, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Verify and approve slot jackpots of $5,000 or more per established internal controls and procedures.
  • Plan, administer, and adjust work schedules and assignments for slots, table games, and casino beverage teams.
  • Approve the extension or limitation of credit to customers in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee supervision of personnel, including training, performance management, motivation, and issue resolution to achieve peak productivity.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions and effective communication between incoming and outgoing teams.
  • Resolve guest complaints and operational issues escalated by supervisors or team members.
  • Monitor employee break schedules and staffing levels to maintain optimal service flow.
  • Advise Security and Surveillance of problem players or situations as appropriate.
  • Approve complimentaries and player rewards in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain and submit required departmental reports to senior leadership.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, escalating issues beyond scope of authority when necessary.
  • Review the work of subordinate employees to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Support workforce development through coaching, performance evaluations, and positive employee relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
