About The Position

Our internship program welcomes hospitality majors in Las Vegas to learn from industry leaders in a hands-on real-life scenario. As an Intern, you will experience what it is like to be a team member at a world-class luxury Resort & Spa, all while joining a cohort of peers to learn, grow, and explore what it means to work in hospitality. This 14-week rotation internship program is designed to engage you beyond the day-to-day work experience; inviting you to participate in activities and events that cater to the specific interests and needs of today’s students. You will be exposed to various departments to gain a well-rounded awareness of The Resort at Summerlin operations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and is a junior or senior in credit hours
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming License once selected for the internship
  • Applicant must be 21 by the first day of the internship to be eligible for the Casino Employee Registration
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Sponsorships provided.
  • Valid Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM Card)
  • Valid Non-Gaming/Sheriff’s Card

  • Preferred major in Business, Hospitality, or related fields

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing excellent customer service to guests by greeting them, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Gain an understanding of the true value of a guest. Learn aspects of Players Club, Slot Machines, Table Games, Marketing and how to elevate a guest experience.
  • Provide general administrative support to the casino department, including data entry, filing, and organizing documents.
