About The Position

The Casino Porter is responsible for providing excellent guest service and creating a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned areas in the Casino, public areas (including parking areas), and unrestricted back-of-house areas.

Requirements

  • Ability to work safely, including understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about the safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Awareness of unsafe conditions such as spills, wet areas, and debris, and addressing them quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company.
  • Must be able to perform assigned duties both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must understand cleaning and disposing of biohazards.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of related experience preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards.
  • Maintaining a clean environment at all times.
  • Ensuring guest needs are met.
  • Escorting guests to requested areas.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas and assigned back-of-house areas.
  • Sweeping and removing wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floors.
  • Cleaning and dusting slot machines, including areas between machines, doors, and woodwork.
  • Removing scuffmarks and drink spills.
  • Cleaning up biohazard areas.
  • Cleaning slot chairs, polishing their bases, and returning chairs to their proper position.
  • Vacuuming assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects for thorough cleaning.
  • Removing trash, replacing missing ashtrays, and wiping out and cleaning all ashtrays and trash cans.
  • Performing restroom maintenance, including cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, and counters.
  • Ensuring all equipment is returned to the department and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
  • Replenishing supplies when necessary.
  • Responding to and resolving guest challenges in a timely manner.
  • Creatively solving problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
