About The Position

The Casino Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, attractive, and well-functioning casino and administrative facilities. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer service.

Requirements

General knowledge of microbial growth prevention and intervention.
General knowledge of infection control.
Knowledge of Manufacturer’s Safety Decals on chemicals and supplies.
Knowledge of possible adverse reactions when mixing chemicals.
Knowledge of all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge of evaluation methods concerning cleaning products and equipment.
Knowledge of overall housekeeping operations.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Very good communication and writing skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
Availability to work any shift, start time, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Keeping the areas around gaming machines, administrative offices, and warehouse clean and clear from trash.
Performing dusting, vacuuming, wiping down computers, desks, and gaming machinery, emptying trashcans and ashtrays.
Keeping restrooms and other areas clean, supplied, and sanitary.
Providing friendly and courteous customer service.
Assisting with moving furniture, gaming devices, and other equipment as needed.
Cleaning windows as needed.
Sweeping and mopping floors as scheduled.
Mopping, cleaning, or sweeping up accidental spills as soon as possible.
Loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Ensuring that all entryway mats are maintained in a clean condition.
Evaluating and making recommendations concerning cleaning products and equipment.
Ordering and maintaining a sufficient inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Participating in training that complements the adopted standards of cleanliness.
Observing and implementing all prescribed safety practices and methods.
Making recommendations to the supervisor regarding changes that may result in tangible savings.
